Great experience. Delicious food and excellent service!

The sushi restaurant in Kyoto is kind and priceless. Recently, the founder died. Considering that there are about 15 lunch pieces, the house has a good value for money. It is a house that makes you worry about three and four stars. Sushi, offering a special taste, such as temple, uni, kumquat of nodoguro, and steamed sauce on top of eel, was good. However, if you don't take soy sauce and wasabi, there are some sushi with a strong fish flavor, so it didn't suit your personal taste. It was a pity that the smell of sea was particularly strong in the sushi. Lastly, the simple gimbap made with radish was impressive with its simple but not heavy taste.

Delicious, traditional sushi in a family run place. Very friendly, speaks a little English, very cute family. Excellent and warm service.

Very very delicious, very fresh sushi and excellent services. I and my wife searched the internet for a sushi restaurant nearby our hotel and found this family own restaurant. They made us feel just like we were in a very close friend's house, very friendly. Highly recommended.

Anyone and everyone must come to this restaurant! The best food, freshness, service and friendliness combined with the abusolute real taste of Japanese shushi! This is a foreigner friendly and all is welcome, it’s tucked away in an alley but after a good hunt, you’ll be blessed with the best shushi you’ll ever have in your life!Don’t be shy to slide open the wooden door.It’s famous with the locals and the wait times are usually long. Lucky for us it was on a raining Sunday in winter.

This place is packed for a reason. Everything Was top notch and reasonably priced.

One year has passed since my father, who has been dating for 30 years, died. The philosophy of "taste to protect" and "taste to create" is firmly passed down to the next generation.

Absolutely our favorite dinner on our trip. Such a wide variety and each bite was better than the next. The chef was so friendly and humble. Hope we can go back again some day.

All the dishes are elaborate, but without any strangeness, they were very good with sake. The sushi that appears at the end of the course may be a little smaller.

It is one who is nicknamed as “Kappo”. It can be inferred from the name “Naka”, but it is a store by a person trained in the famous store Ginza “Nakada” (unfortunately Ginza is closed ... alive at Imperial Hotel). So-called Edo-mae sushi where there is kohada. It is quite recommended. I think it's perfect when you want to rest assured of good sushi. Since the tatami room is a digging goat type, important seats are okay even for those with poor feet.

Lovely food, nice sake, respectful service. The sharon fruit starter from the set menu was divine.

We had only the choice between 3 menus.You will find the pictures of the menu at ¥ 15,000. And yes I wanted to have fun, but I'm a little disappointed.Good service, sushi very good but not exceptional as I was able to eat in Osaka, for much cheaper elsewhere.Dessert disappointing a sugar sorbet, without interest.Very salty note for a total of ¥ 27,750 is about 228 € to 2, for a menu at 10k, a hot 15k + 1 sake and taxes.To conclude it's good but a bit overrated.At this price I will have at least liked to choose what I prefer, because there was only one poor tuna sushi in the menu. Given the price, it's really not cool of them!

The Best Sushi Kappo in Gion

Wonderful tasting dinner with many kinds of sushi and sashimi. Everything was delicious and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Somewhat expensive but worth it for the food and the overall experience.
